4Frnt

When it comes to skis that can do it all 4Frnt is an industry leader, with freeride skis designed by their pro team of athletes. if you want to a pair of skis that can seamlessly transition from the park to the backcountry and from wind-blown crust to deep powder days.

Skis

4Frnt's Signature Series comes straight from its Pro Riders, developed by athletes Eric Hjorleifson, Cody Barnhill, and Wiley Miller among others. The EHP and CRJ have proved to be great skis and adding to the collection is the YLE created by Wiley Miller. Also take a look at the Renegade, a one of a kind reverse camber ski hand made by Eric Hjorleifson and Cody Barnhill.

Bindings

4Frnt developed the Deadbolt series of bindings for freeskiing. Several features make this a great all around binding for any skier; interchangeable brakes allow you to put them on any size ski, adjustible DIN level up to 15 for stronger skiers, a zero ramp angle makes it easier to ride switch, and a diagonal toe gives the Deadbolt a 180 degrees release protecting your knees during a fall.

Renegade

It can't get much better than a handmade ski made in the White Room. Located at 4frnt's headquarters in Salt Lake City, the White Room is 4frnt's laboratory for the future. Where 4frnt riders Eric Hjorleifson and Cody Barnhill hand craft the Renegade, and we mean hand craft, each pair of Renegades are made by Eric and Cody so you can be assured that this ski is meant to charge all over the mountain. At 122 underfoot and an INDIBlock Maple Core this is a fat ski that is big for the powder days but still nimble enough for everything else.

4frnt Staff Review

Rider Owned and Rider Inspired; it is the quintessential ski company. 4FRNT's commitment to progressive design is obvious in every ski that Northern Lights carries but the Eric Hjorleifson designed Renegade exemplifies the cutting edge that 4FRNT knows so well. The Renegade is hand built by Eric and another 4FRNT pro, Cody Barnhill, in the White Room in Salt Lake City. With a limited production run of 200 per year the Renegade pushes design and production boundaries. Maple core and full wood sidewalls are not only beautiful and appropriately stiff but exceptionally durable. The Renegade is fully rockered but with a rocker profile that exactly matches the sidecut. Unlike many skis designed with big mountain riding in mind the Renegade is equally comfortable ripping high speed straightlines at Big Sky as it is wiggling through tight trees at Bridger. I enjoyed skiing the Renegade at all speeds, a rare trait in a ski with such a high speed pedigree. Between the Renegade, EHP, CRJ, YLE, and women's specific Athena, Northern Lights Trading Company has a 4FRNT ski for every skier. Come in, demo a pair, and discover for yourself what all the fuss is about.
