Become a better skier. This is what we should all strive toward. At Atomic, they make this their mantra for the skiing world. From alpine racing to nordic to backcountry beauties, Atomic has made its name household among our community of winter enthusiasts. Their skis have been handcrafted (now with a little help from precision machinery) in Austria since 1955 and the attention to detail certainly shows.
Northern Lights will be carrying the freeride and backcountry ski lines from Atomic in Bozeman this year, including the Atlas, the Blog, the Bent Chetler, the Charter, Drifter and the Century. Atomic pro skier Chris Benchetler's hand-drawn topsheet graphics made the BC one of our most popular skis last year and we expect that this season's design will be no different. Plenty of rocker, triple sidewall construction and tons of pop make this ski the dream Bridger powder board for a few lucky individuals this season. Grab a pair before they're gone!

Most people don't think about freeride skis when they hear the word Atomic. Instead they conjure images of Austrian hulks barrelling down hardpack in red tights doing mach 5. Though this is also accurate, Atomic has stepped into the freeride arena with the competitive spirit you'd expect from the Austrian ski team. Faster, lighter and more durable skis from Atomic are pushing the envelope of the freeride and backcountry market. And the old notion of Atomic foam core skis has been replaced with the durability and elasticity of a wood core. It looks like Atomic, with over 50 years of experience designing and building skis, is here to stay and here to play.

The Atlas is one of my favorite skis. Big, wide and burly is how I'd describe these straight-forward powder boards. They just plow through everything. And like most Atomic skis, the Atlas is built for speed, but it can turn on a dime. It's actually incredible how, even on groomers, this ski handles. These guys know what they're doing and I even look like I know what I'm doing when I'm on the Atlas. I really feel like this ski can take someone to the next level.
