G3 Skis & Avalanche Gear

G3 is Genuine Guide Gear. Just like folks in Bozeman, G3 is focused on the backcountry. They push the limits every day with their unique and innovative ski products. It all started in 1995 when they first started making avalanche probes and holding this gear to the highest standards demanded by guides in the backcountry. The bar was set high and G3 continues to make gear that people trust their lives to.

G3 Avalanche Probes

Avalanche probes were G3's very first product and set the high design and performance standards that all G3 products now live up to. Known for reliability and strength, G3 avalanche probes remain the choice for backcountry users who know their lives can depend on the gear they choose.

G3 Avalanche Shovels

Strong, durable and time-tested, G3's line of backcountry shovels continue to be the first choice for backcountry gear. Designed to live up to the highest standards of industry professionals, all G3 shovels are built with high strength, heat-treated aluminum and are TIG welded.

G3 Skis & Skins

As backcountry skiing evolves beyond traditional definitions, so does G3's ski program. In response to the growing list of requirement from backcountry skiers, G3 continues to diversify the line-up with skis that are equally aplomb in the backcountry fluff as they are inside the gates. From ridgelines to liftlines, whether you access terrain with ski lifts or heel-lifts, G3 makes a ski that meets your demands.

G3 Bonesaw Avalanche Gear

G3 started out as an avalanche gear company, but quickly progressed into telemark bindings and skis. G3 skis are different in that good way. And their focus on producing an equally heavy-hitting women's ski lineup really sets them apart. Pictured here, the G3 Women's Zest:

G3 Ski Review from Northern Lights Staff

I admit it, I was a tele skier once. And the Targa was my first binding. While I've moved on to more efficient ways of skiing (go ahead, tele skiers, you can say it - I'm getting old and lazy!) I'll never forget that G3's were my introduction to the backcountry. Now they have an amazing ski line to complement their commitment to building better backcountry products. I really like the Manhattan for its versatility. At 108 underfoot, the G3 Manhattan literally floats in any condition, but is light enough to tour with. And the metal reinforcement means you can ski this thing FAST. I like fast.
