Marmot

Marmot was among the first in the outdoor industry to use Gore-Tex, with that early start they have continued to use Gore-Tex in many of their outdoor products. The reasoning is simple there is not a stronger, wind stopping, water proof material out there. Marmot clothing and sleeping bags go hand in hand to create a complete comfort zone for your body. There is no greater commitment in the industry to keeping your body warm, dry and comfortable.

Design

Marmot started with designing down products in the dorm room of UC-Santa Cruz students Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley. They have continued to take that ingenuity to their current product lines and into prototypes for future products.

Materials

Marmot uses the best materials out there for their products. Gore-Tex, Polartec, and Precip fabrics give you the protection you need to go out and enjoy the outdoors no matter what nature throws your way.

Construction

Marmot constructs its products with the goal of making the highest quality performance products available. Whether it is a sleeping bag for winter camping or a lightweight shirt for trail running, Marmot wants it to help you reach your peak performance.

Marmot Staff Review

When Marmot says their gear is "For Life" they aren't kidding. I've spent hundreds of nights out in the wild with Marmot down and Precip products and they've never failed me. Ever. Marmot prides itself on using the highest quality materials and construction techniques. It shows.

My Marmot down jacket has served me in the high peaks of Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, the New England states and Nepal. If there's a chance I'll need it, my Marmot jacket stays stashed in my pack. Luckily, it compresses down to nothing, so I hardly notice it's there. Plus it makes a great pillow!
