Osprey has been making packs since 1974, originally made to order packs, Osprey has taken those custom fitted roots to the mainstream and has adjustable features that make these packs the best fitting packs out there. And that is important, whether going for a trail run or a month long backpacking trip it just has to be comfortable.
I bought my first Osprey pack about 14 years ago. I carried it over 2,100 miles on the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine, and it never failed me.
Today's packs are a lot lighter, yet every bit as durable. My new favorite is the Osprey Hydraulics packs. I prefer trail running to six-month hikes these days. So I traded in the old backpack for a Raptor 10. It's the most stable thing you can strap on your back when you need lots of water and provisions for a day-long hike or trail run. If there's one pack company out there that does it right, it's Osprey. I'd never buy another pack!
